What these metrics mean
- Downlink (Mbps)
- Estimated effective bandwidth of the connection. Reflects the actual throughput, not the theoretical maximum of your plan.
- RTT / Latency (ms)
- Round-trip time estimate. Lower is better. Under 50ms is good for gaming, under 100ms is fine for browsing.
- Effective Type
- Connection classified as slow-2g, 2g, 3g, or 4g based on observed performance, regardless of actual technology.
- Save Data
- Whether the user has requested reduced data usage via browser or OS settings.
